No. They are definitely two different companies.

Coca Cola was invented by John Pemberton around 1884 in the Atlanta area.
Pepsi Cola was created in the early 1890s by pharmacist Caleb Bradham. Both products were created as a way to fight stomach pains (the carbonation being the main factor).

These two companies have had fierce advertising campaigns over the years (you may be too young to remember the Pepsi Challenge of the 1970s), but they are the top 2 companies in terms of softdrinks world wide.

Coke is number one around the world with Pepsi no. 2. However, the reason is that there are more places that sell just Coke then just sell Pepsi. In restaurants where both Coke and Pepsi are offered, Pepsi outsells Coke.

No pepsi and coke are two different products. I know this because I did a project on Pepsi Company. Pepsi is strictly a Pepsi and Coke is strictly a coke product

No, Pepsi-Cola and Coca-Cola are the two biggest competitors in the soft drink industry. Most soft drinks you buy are probably either owned by Pepsi or Coke, but neither is owned by another. Chances are, such a merger would be ruled a monopoly and never allowed to take place.

While Coca Cola has an umbrella of products (Dr. Pepper, Sprite, Fanta, Dasani, Powerade just to name a few), Pepsi is not a Coke product, it is produced by Pepsico (Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Tropicana, Quaker, Gatorade).

This is so silly! Why come on here and ask such stupid, stupid questions?! There is no way I believe you thought coke and pepsi were made by the same company.
