Have you ever wondered why there's a sexual double standard? Why men are either a nice guy or a stud, but women are either called prude, tease, or "overly promiscuous"? :)

Because it is natural for a male to want to spread his seed whereas a woman can only birth one child at a time. I think that's where it all started.

Shallow people may judge a man's masculinity by his sexual conquests. A woman, however, is expected to fulfill a "graceful" ideal that implies limited sexual activity. However, keep in mind that the terms you've mentioned and terms like "freak", etc. are positive comments in some sub-cultures. Thus if you're a promiscuous woman and hang around the "right" people, you will be set on equal footing with promiscuous men.

I must say, I have wondered. The whole culture of 'high 5's all round' for a man who has had many partners, whereas a Lady is left to hang her head in shame of she has had more than 1 partner never really seems right. People should just do what they want, the ones who judge should be ashamed.

Honestly I've met way more women that have had 20+ partners then men who have. I don't think it's fair that there is a stigma around it, but women are typically the one's playing hard to get.

Don't like it? Become a feminist, be pro-active, stop living in traditional gender roles.

I never really worried about too much when I was single and dating. If a woman treated me good and I could trust her, then don't worry about how many there were before you. I'm pretty sure she had a life too.
