Yes! it is true. sodomites are going to hell if they don't repent and succeed in eradicating the homosexual curse from their souls.

As stated in:

Lev. 18:22 - Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

and

Lev 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have commited an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

... it is clearly stated from these verses that homosexuality is an abomination and that God authorises us to punish sodomites by death penalty.

And for those of you who think that the coming of Jesus cancelled the Old Testament Law, read further what St. Paul has to say in the New Testament about sodomy:

Rom. 1:26 - For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Rom. 1:27 - And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Rom. 1:28 - And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

There you have it! the proof of the recognition of homosexuality as an abominable sin in the Bible. those who say otherwise are deceived by the devil and twist the scriptures to match their own wishes and also teach others their lies. give me ONE reason to believe that filthy sodomite anal sex and other perversions are NOT sins! i dare you! not one reason can justify homosexual acts. failure in repentance of such satanic sins results in an ultimate damnation of the soul to hell for eternity! and eternity is quite a long time.... remember this while you act on your curse!

Let me answer you briefly.

Number one, what you posted is not a question it is an assertion.

Number two, the assertion is based on the Bible. The Bible is, while an interesting book that is the basis (in one form or another) of the three great monotheistic faiths of the West -- is actually a book of myths, and some of them are pretty horrid myths.

The earth is not flat, it does not have corners, and it is not established on pillars. Beetles do not have four legs, they have six. Rabbits do not chew their cuds, they have none. Ai and Jericho were both abandoned when the Israelites came to them and Jericho NEVER was walled. Oddly, though a million Jews (more or less) marched around the wilderness for 40 years and ALL died there, we cannot find a single skeleton from the march, even though we have found the remains of tribes of 200 non-Semites in the same area. Pi really DOES work, and a perfectly round pool cannot be made that uses pi of 3.0 rather than 3.14 -- it would leak through a gap in the side.

The god of the old testament, almost certainly either a rendition of one of the great Annunaki of the Sumerians or of Ra of the Egyptians, is a monster who cannot possibly deserve worship, even if real. He accepts human sacrifice, demands genocides, and wipes the faces of his priests with dung. He is, in very real terms, anthropomorphic, having a palace on top of the firmament (the dome covering the earth) where he keeps snow and hail "against the time of troubles" (war???) [If you want to read up on this type of thing, there is a fair list on the site I maintain. Go to http://www.rebuff.org and read the three pages under bible on the left hand menu.] if you have the courage to.

The short version of what I am saying is -- its myth. Fairy stories, like Grimm's and like Santa Claus. Furthermore, Christianity, despite what you have been told, was not HISTORICALLY based on the Bible as you know it. The canon was not established universally in anything resembling a form you would recognize until the Council of Carthage, hundreds of years after Christ. The early church had 40 gospels, but no one church had more than one book or maybe a very few. Often a gospel, or a letter -- or sometimes nothing at all. Different bishops wrote different canons, just as they had different theologies (gnostic/anti-gnostic for example). The Council of Nice (Nicea) established the creed by vote, and many things (trinity) won by only one or two votes. Divine inspiration? Not unless you count assassination, quite a few occurred connected to Nice and to Carthage.

The idea that the Bible is infallible is no different from the idea the Pope is, and it is even newer. There are stories in the received text – like the story of the Prostitute and Jesus saying “he who is without sin cast the first stone” that were not added until 1000 AD (see “Misquoting Jesus,” Dr. Bart Erhman; Harper Collins). Does anyone seriously believe that when the fragments we have of the texts, most of which date after 400 AD, centered around a canon that was never presented in its present form until 367 and not formalized by the Church for another 40 years REALLY is infallible? Well, some people have convinced themselves so - but some people also have convinced themselves that we never really landed on the moon, so I'm not at all worried about them.

So all the arguments in the world that depend on fallible, demonstrably false scripture to back -- are meaningless arguments -- the equivalent of saying that Zeus won't like it; or that the Narns will "get" us. No gay person is going to go to any mythic hell for being gay.

Get over yourself.

First of all, as others have said, this isn't a question and doesn't belong on Yahoo! Answers. I have reported you for your violation of the rules.

Second, if you actually cared about what the Bible really says about Sodom and Gomorrah, you would know that the sin the people of these cities committed that resulted in their destruction was not the act of homosexuality, but was more about their unwelcoming attitude to guests. Maybe you should study the Bible instead of reading it. You'll get more out of it that way.

Third, as I'm sure you know, the prideful will also not inherit the Kingdom as well. You are prideful. You judge us as sinners while you have no authority to do so. Jesus is the only one who can make that decision and your pride has elevated you into his position in your eyes. As you can imagine, God is a jealous deity and does not appreciate charlatans such as yourself.

Finally, the Kingdom doesn't exist. So I guess you're right. Gays won't inherit the Kingdom. Good day.

Romans a million states that gays are reprobates And A reprobate is someone that God has abandoned, provide up on, judged and condemned So in different words they could't be kept. there is no desire for them and also Romans a million -32 Paul says in reality that and under no circumstances only gays yet also those which have exhilaration in them that do them And to the question can gays bypass to Heaven? the answer isn't any because to be gay is sin. Leviticus 18=22-24 tells us this. Now if there'll be no sin in Heaven than no homo will be there.

there was more than just gay orgies going on in sodom that made god detroy the city. And I Corinthians 6:9-10 says nothing about homosexuals. Don't state the answer unless you know all the facts.

GOD doesn't his children. He loves all his children, and the story of sodom and gomorah has nothing to do with homosexuality, it has more to do with the fact that the people of the city wanted to rape the angels, get your facts right. And take your hate preaching somewhere else, we gays don't give a **** what you have to say. So stop be a bible thumber and using the bible as a way to justify your hate, cause in the end your gonna be the one going to HELL for hating.

Because homosexuality is a sin. However, if you lead a good and honest life, and maybe go to confession, you should be able to inherit the kingdom of God. God loves all sinners, but hates all sin. If you feel that you don't want to be a homosexual because of your faith in God, then good for you! Make the Lord proud!

God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!!

It appears that you do know one thing...how to cut and paste...quite an accomplishment for someone of your obvious intellect. And stupid me, I must have missed the part about "gay orgies, etc. and why god hates homosexuality" in the bible...I have read it stem to stern (you obviously have read the abridged version from some fundamentalist church) and have NEVER read any of what you hold to be self evident. Are you really as ignorant as you pass yourself off to be? If I were you, (and I am not) I would write as little as possible and think as much as possible without the crutch of your pastor guiding your every step. Perhaps, with time, you may have a real thought (I seriously doubt it) that has something to do with real issues, not composed messages from your church's newsletter.

God doesn't hate the person he hates the sin but all sin is the same there is no sin better than the other. And if you are trying to turn a gay person around you first must look at the person before you try to judge their sin. You should love them and you will get to them that way.
