Why can't we build huge outdoor air purifiers? If we can send people into space, surely we can come up with something.

Trees are the best air purifiers. And you don't need electricity to make them work!

This is just a guess, but I assume that a large air purifier would consume large amounts of energy. Currently, most means of producing energy also produce some type of pollution (e.g. nuclear reactors create nuclear waste, burning fossil fuels pollute the air). I believe that any gains from the air purifiers would be cancelled by the pollution created from making the energy the purifiers need.

I think rain works pretty well, along with forests. The trick is to keep all those forests going.

cause there isnt really anything wrong with the air.....the atmosphere cleans its self...
