He is 12 years old, he's my stepbrother, and he is still in 1st grade.He tries to study for classtests and exams together with his sister, that know got promoted to 2nd grade(and he was kept in 1st grade), but he has a problem of forgetting how to spell and pronounce words and he can't read due to this problem, is there something that I can do to help him read?

Unfortunately there isn't much u can do! People with autism can take in all information but it "locks" inside and not much can be processed. It varies from person to person and if they have Asperger's syndrome (a higher form of autism) they are able to process more info. However, if u know for sure he is autisic, odds are he won't go far in a public school. He would be better off in a behavioral school where they can use repetition and ABA techniques, in the hopes of him learning a few basic skills, reading however is not one of them.
