Take a pregnancy test. If it's negative than your body hasn't adjusted to being off of the depo.

I know the depo shot is verrrrrrrry bad and can screw up your body permanantly (see the links)...so if at all possible, try not to get pregnant for 6 months to a year. I've heard horrible things about it.

Good Luck!

You may be pregnant, as those symptoms are indicative of pregnancy. Normally with an impending period, you are not sensitive to smells, however many women often notice sore breasts around the time their period is due.

Often women who have come off the depo shot have trouble conceiving, because it takes a long time for their bodies to regulate themselves again. This is because the depo shot works by altering your hormones, and it upsets the delicate balance of hormones that make a woman ovulate and release an egg each month. Other women have been very lucky, and have been able to conceive within a few months of quitting the depo shot. We are all different.

I'm going to include the link to a trying to conceive forum that I think you might find useful. It's full of supportive women with boundless knowledge about these issues. I have learnt so much there that I doubt I would have learnt otherwise. There are also a few women in the forum who are trying to conceive after coming off the depo-shot that you may be interested in chatting with.

Every woman is different. Some women get pregnant right after getting off birth control (any kind) and some take a while to get pregnant. It all depends on your body. The symptoms you are having could be pregnancy or could be your body trying to return to it's normal cycle. The only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test. Just because you haven't had your period does not mean you haven't ovulated. There is always a chance of pregnancy when having unprotected sex.

I had taken the depo shot for years. It had taken me about 3 years to get pregnant. I guess that it all depends on your body. It's really hard to say just how long it will take. I had taken it for 6 years, when I had stopped it took a very long time for my period to start normal. But, I would check with your Doctor about the other symptoms, to be sure.

you could be having hormone changes or be preg. best thing to do is take a home test and then see your doctor. if you want to know more on depo go to search and read . i wish you all the luck

It could be hormones or pregnancy. I would take a home-pregnancy test. It can take a while to get your period after getting off depo but as soon as it returns you can get pregnant. My best friend was on it for 3 years, got her period back in 2 months and got pregnant in 3 months. It all depends on your body chemistry. Just be patient and take that test! : )

well i was on the shot 2 1/2 years and i stopped and was pregnant within 6 mo. i guess it depends on how well your body responds to not having the shot any more. Dr. also says the extra hormones will make you have symptoms of pregnancy over all take a test so you don't drive yourself crazy...good luck
