I didn't know Sean thought that way--but sometimes I think that way! And no, I haven't seen that interview.
Think: Ronald Reagan, George Bush Sr. and company are thinking of ways to discredit Jimmy Carter and take over the White House, eg. the October Surprise. Then they hear that John Lennon is coming out of retirement and releasing a new album. They say, "Oh, no, not him again!" Imagine how Lennon would respond to the Reagan regime? I wouldn't put Lennon's assassination past them.
Lennon was assassinated a month after Reagan's election and a month before Reagan's inauguration. I don't think it's a pure coincidence that Reagan's election, Lennon's murder, and the sudden disappearance of liberal-minded jazz station WRVR-FM (NY, NY)--replaced without announcement by country music!--all happened within months of each other!

No. Most high profile deaths usually are murders. The cover up trail needn't be obvious to only forensics specialists. Just people who have the ability to say " Yeah ... but ... " given enough time to think and put a few clues together. I'd like to say that about the American public generally. Unfortunately it is submerged in a willing ignorance.

Last thing I heard it was one of the jealous Monkees--LOL. Who knows what celebrities think, anymore, or if they think? Just let the poor man rest in peace. He had his day in the sun and now its over.
