Something like this statement:
"Today, (insert Muslim terrorist group/nation) has taken hostages and is threatening to kill them unless we release prisoners. Not only will we not release the prisoners, we will act decisively. If they are not released in 24 hours, the Dome of the Rock will be destroyed. After 48 hours, the Kaaba will be destroyed. We're sorry it has come to this, but you forced our hand. And unfortunately for you, we have the trump card and have used restraint and now must use it. "

Did I say anything about genocide ? I said destroy the Dome of the Rock and the Kaaba. Give them notice-any Muslims who chose to stay there or decided to go there to try to stop it would be taking matters into their own hands.
Muslims don't respect the things everyone else holds sacred(as someone mentioned, the Buddha statues in Afghanistan), why should the rest of the world respect what Muslims hold sacred.

First of all you're off base...the USA and Europe have been allowing Israel to do the dirty work for years without lifting much more than a finger. Think about the Christians sitting on their hinds awaiting the Jew and Arab wiping out or weakening eachother sufficiently so that they can simply march right in to the Holy City Jerusalem. The great crusade has been accomplished with minimal blood shed on the side of "right" (Christianity). Bottom line is that Israel will and is stepping up its activity there just as the West wants it to. I am surprised that the Jews and Arabs haven't awakend and UNITED against the WEST (Christianity) as the scenario I present is pretty obvious to many, many people. PEACE!

You must be thinking this war is about a little insignificant dirty piglet zionist soldier, the dirty Zionists have been preparing for this attack months earlier and was constantly pushing for it, with the goal of destroying the Hamas infrastructure and its government. They are the one who initiated an escalation on 8 June when it assassinated Abu Samhadana, a senior appointee of the Hamas government, and intensified its shelling of civilians in the Gaza Strip. Governmental authorization for action on a larger scale was already given by 12 June, but it was postponed in the wake of the global reverberation caused by the killing of civilians in the air force bombing the next day. The abduction of the Zionist pig soldier released the safety-catch, and the operation began on 28 June with the destruction of infrastructure in Gaza and the mass detention of the Hamas leadership in the West Bank, which was also planned weeks in advance.
The mightiest army in the Middle East has no military answer to the home-made rockets. One answer that presents itself is what Hamas has been proposing all along, and Haniyeh repeated this week - a comprehensive cease-fire. Hamas has proven already that it can keep its word. In the 17 months since it announced its decision to abandon armed struggle in favor of political struggle, and declared a unilateral cease-fire (“tahdiya” - calm), it did not participate in the launching of Qassams, except under severe Israeli provocation, as happened in the June escalation. However, Hamas remains committed to political struggle against the occupation of Gaza and the West Bank. In Israel's view, the Palestinians elections results is a disaster, because for the first time they have a leadership that insists on representing Palestinian interests rather than just collaborating with Israel's demands.
This war will run out of control until - as has so often happened in the past - Israel itself calls for a ceasefire and releases prisoners. Then the international big-hitters will arrive and make their way to the real Lebanese capital Beirut and appeal for help. And prisoner swaps is all that will come of this.
In January 2004, for example, the dirty zionists freed 436 Arab prisoners and released the bodies of 59 Lebanese for burial, in return for an Israeli spy and the bodies of three dirty zionist soldiers.
As long ago as 1985, three the dirty zionist soldiers captured in 1982 were traded for 1,150 Lebanese and Palestinian prisoners. So Hizbollah knows - and the dirty zionists know - how this cruel game is played. How many have to die before the swaps begin is a more important question.
What is also clear is that for the first time the dirty zionist is facing two Islamic Mujahideen Armies - in southern Lebanon and in Gaza - rather than nationalist guerrillas.

Absolutely. We cannot extend out freedoms we, in America enjoy, to the ruthless, desperate, and suicidal killers in the desert. These people are fanatics. They will stop at nothing to kill us. Why can't we be ruthless back? Why do we have to be careful of their feelings. I'm not endorsing war on civilians or anything, but I'm saying we should definitely give them some old fashion American justice. Let's give them absolute war. No negotiation, no pandering, no concessions, WAR. Give it to them hot and heavy, and maybe, MAYBE they'll listen up. And by the way, I think threatening to blow up Islamic holy places might go a little far. Holding these places hostage might not be the best route. But I like your fervor.

Yes to the question - no to how you would do it.
That's the equivalent of the Taliban destroying the giant Buddhas because they hated Buddhists. You don't destroy world treasures to rescue hostages.
Why not use special ops to rescue them and kill the kidnappers and assist a nation like Lebanon in curtailing Hezbullah.

Harder Line? WTF is a harder line? You mean a murderous rampage like video game genocide against all of a particular group of people. YOU are the sort that needs to be Hard Lined. Old German roots in your family?
I think you're too naive to understand complicated situations outside your safe small world. You're part of the culture of human resourses management created again by the always busy capitalistas to solve business problems.
