I would have loved to have seen Germany win, especially in Berlin with its history.

Actually, in football the team that deserves to win doesn't always win. Oftentimes, one team will get most of the chances to score and have total control over the match, but still might end up losing in a penalty shootout (which is pure luck). In the Euro 2000 semi-final between Italy and Holland, the Dutch totally dominated the Italians to the point of ridiculing them, but they were unlucky, since they couldn't score in regulation and lost in penalty shootouts. Actually, when you think of it, the Italians can only win in overtime or in penalty shootouts; I have rarely seen them defeat a good team in regulation time. So does Italy deserve to win??For football purists, Certainly NOT. For Italians and French-haters, certainly yes.

if it had been set up differently, id rather have them be second, but i always wanted my italia team to be number one.
