nope, no secret. Place 3 toothpicks into seed to serve as props ... place the seed into a low glass so the toothpicks support the seed about half way into the glass. Cover about 1/3rd the bottom of the seed with water. Wait. In time, the seeds will sprout. when they get big enough, add some mud to glass and wait until you see roots....carefully remove and plant in a shady spot...as the tree grows, it will find the sun and do just fine. Go for it.

El Paso ?? Its to hot and dry there. To start first soak the seed in a glass of water till it roots (use toothpicks to suspend it) then transplant to a WET spot(though in El Paso that may be hard to find.

If you take a seed and put it in water then put it in the sun it will start to sprout roots. Once you have that started, gently place the roots in the ground and cover it with light rich soil. Don't pack it down in the dirt and crush it. Then take care of it by giving it water, plant food, and most of all love. Your tender touch is what will make it grow. That's why they call it a green thumb. Germinate the seed first then put it in the ground.

They prefer moderate temperatures.... keep them inside on a sunny windowsill and move them out as soon as they mature enough to handle the heat.
