The Israeli withdrew from Gaza already. Do you not watch the news or read a paper? They actually went in with soldiers to take their people out who refused to leave. They were meeting requirements that were difficult for them to attain peace. Hamas took over Palestine and there went peace. The Arabs DO NOT want peace. And the Israeli are sticking up for themselves again.

If the jihadi psychothugs in Gaza ought to stop capturing rockets into civilian cities in Israel the Israelis would not ought to reply. The ineffective Nuisance (UN) is anti-semitic and its decision did not condemn the provacative Hamas rocket assaults which caused the Israelis to take action. The day is coming, burning like an oven, even as the U. S. will turn all of Panarabia right into a huge radioactice glass parking zone if this terrorist crap turns right into a substantial difficulty.

The US shouldn't be involved in the Middle East at all. This was a bad move. The US gov. shouldn't be sending any message to the Arab world that the US dosn't follow. IE, no WOMD for them should also mean no WOMD for US. The US government shouldn't be supporting those war mongering Israelis or the extremist Arabs. This is not our war or our land or our people. Our people and land and air and seas are here and that is where our soldiers should be (with homes, benefits and triple pay).

Country 1: Recently held elections where a known terrorist group was placed in power. Sends weekly suicide bombers into Country 2. Has no formidable economy and is run using the same policies as middle age Europe. A country that does not permit 1/100th the freedoms of Country 2 to women, minorities, and even the majority. A country that exists solely to see Country 2 wiped off the face of the earth.

Country 2: One of the world’s major technological countries and a huge investor in R&D. A country that has preserved the rights of all religions to visit holy places within its country. A defensive country that exists so that its people may prosper and thrive thanks to its liberties.

Which side would you chose?

The USA vetoes anything that might disturb, let alone, condemn Israel. Don't ask questions like that. You'll only get infuriating answers, like it's our only ally there, it's the only democracy in the Middle Eat, it's a small and vulnerable peace-loving country surrounded by hateful crazy people, etc...

It sends the message that terrorists won't win with their current tactics. Israel had already pulled out of Gaza and given it to the Palestinians prior to this latest assault by Hamas.

Well, that question has a very simple answer. The US has a vested interest in keeping Israel happy. If the Israelis get pissed at America, we lose our only ally in the entire region.

Who started this? Me thinks it was the Palestinians and Hezbollah (backed by Iran and Syria).

They should not have given back the land they won during the war with Lebanon and Syria. They attacked Israel and got their asses kicked. To the victor goes the spoils of war. Big mistake to have given it back. It was won fair and square.

Personally, I think the USA and Israel should take a harder line against Muslims who take hostages, kill innocent civilians, etc.
