in all honesty ireland are building and i reckon will do well at euro 2008 if they had qualified for world cup they wd have struggled just as most teams did .in my life ive watched quite a few world cups and this one was by far the poorest ireland were better of at home

Ireland depends what group they got into if they in Brazil or teams like that wouldn't of made to next round but if they were easy team they would surely make to next round or possibly the quarters

We would have done well i think. We have great belief as a team. With Steve Staunton bringing in so much of the eircom league players, it would have given us players with something huge to prove and would have improved our league also. Think it is going to go well for us in the next few years.

i tink we could have gotten as far as1/4... maybe even semi, the quality of fottie this world cup was shite...Shite....r of ireland has a new buzz about them with new players and manager team, lots to prove and the fresh faces to do it, we didnt get rid of the old skool in time for the world cup...watch this space..oh, by the way, we'd have beaten brazil/porto/etc the way they played most of their games AND not all of us are piss heads as the rest of the world likes to tink, only some of us

mmm while the irish are scrappers they wouldn't have gotten very far. They may have got into the first knockout game but no further, and thats if they got an easy group!
as for you bronnimoose, bit rich saying the english are moronic when you ask questions like yours love

They would of done better than England.
Saying that who could have played worse than England? No-one.
I support England through and through (I am British) But I think a Sunday league side could have played with more passion than how we did.
