I put the stuffed animals in a plastic garbage bag and use the hose attachment on my vacuum to suck the air out of the bag and (hopefully) suck the dust mites out of the toys. The stuffed animals will regain their shape when you shut off the vacuum and let air in the bag. I also spray them lightly with the Febreze allergen remover.

Wash in the washing machine, gentle cycle. Toss in the dryer at low heat and let them tumble till dry. They will come out fluffy and clean. And stop worrying about mites and germs..they harm nothing. Good luck

I like to put them in a pillowcase, closed tight, before they go in the washing machine with liquid detergent. Putting them in the dryer at low or fluff will work, or air dry if you're so concerned.

we put stuffed animals in the washer and dryer all the time and have no problem. If you are afraid to put them in the dryer just wash them and put them outside to dry
