i keep hearing that certain players are chosen to be apart of an all star team. so will they play? if so when?

After the world cup they always announce 'The Ideal Team' but it is just in paper. The last time there was an 'All-Star' game was an exhibition game to benefit the Tsunami victims. It was called Ronaldinho's XI v. Shevchenko's XI.

The MLS has an all-star team like every other US sport. I think most leagues in europe have something similar as well. either way you can't go any bigger than the world cup which is the biggest all star game ever.

FIFA has a world cup all-stars team. I am not sure if they actually play in a match.
I do know however that the US All star team will be playing against FC Chelsea.

I know it does exist,
I have already seen twice a match Europe versus rest of the world where only the best players were selected.
It was maybe 5 years ago, so I don't know if this meeting does still exist.

I don't believe there is in all star match because I dont see who they would play against...an mls team? lol
