I am seeing alot of young Republicans. Its great to see these young people even interested in the political process. MTV sure has tried to brainwash them but Im glad to read some of these posts from younger people who are on their way to great futures. Have you old people noticed how many posters say that .." when I can vote..."? See, they are not all wasted and skateboarding.

Another one of your delusional fantasies. Aside from thinking Liberal women find you attractive. You need to call your psychiatrist and have your medication changed.
And I'm NOT interested in knowing your opinion on the best birthcontrol pill brand, female health issues, alternate health, marriage, what you think of women from my hometown or surfing. The only thing you know how to surf is the paraphilic porn sites on the net....Knock it off and GO AWAY.
And as for your "fat jokes": Even if I were to be fat, I would've probably been able to lose the weight by walking around the block. You on the other hand will be stuck being ugly for the rest of your sorry life.

Yeah. In my family some of us go through the usual teen rebellious streak but come back in time to be good citizens and raise a family. We have every type of political opinion in this family. I love seeing the young people getting into politics and it isn't because they agree with me. They often don't. But it's cool because that's part of being American. Now if they can take it a step further and make our votes actually count instead of just being a popularity contest! Good post.
PS I'm on the left of middle, being very middle. But one TV character I had a crush on was young Republican Alex Keaton played by Michael J Fox. Since then I've always noticed YOUR young repub. smile

You must be looking some place I don't. I don't see them declaring themselves to be Republican? I see a mix of affiliation out there. I don't think old people see every young person as a wasted skateboarder. I even know some who never watch MTV. Must everything had a political agenda?

I know why. Kids are using the internet and fox news at a younger age to get their news. Unlike the boomers and half the lives of us gen-xers who had only 3 networks with the same political slant. Kids use their heads more because there are more options for info than ever.
And as we all know, anyone who thinks freely and looks at facts is destined to become a conservative.

There will always be a segment of society (old or young) that really doesn't care about politics but I genuinely believe that most people have an opinion on most social issues. A large amount of them can even back up their beliefs with a cognative argument.

I see it, but that is because the way our nation is going, with the help of the NAACP, ACLU, NAMBLA, and to many lawyers. I am one of the younger people and I want to get involved. Not in politics but in trying to get back to the way this country used to be (of course with some exceptions) I'd become different than the the politicians that we have now. Instead of going to my constituents I'd go to the local grocery store and ask people what they thought on anything and everything what kind of change they would like to see in their city, state and country. Constituents are great for getting your name out into the public and for monetary purposes, but you need to talk to the people who wouldn't vote for you. You need to see what the average American citizen wants. I'm tired of this republican, democrate, libertarian, tree hugger, ACLU band wagon party crap. Its time to make a change in this country.

According to the survey results, the partisan makeup
of American college students is 44% Democratic,
30% Republican, and 21% independent.

There are young Republicans, but they are the minority of young people (who tend to be more liberal - and always have been).

I agree with you. And I think this site is starting to turn conservative. I have noticed more common sense answers that trend toward conservatism. It is a growing movement filled with all races and that is a good thing to see. Liberalism is a disease that keeps you from achieving your dreams. Hard working young americans desire to be rich one day - and when that happens they do not want the social liberals to take away their money,

I see more democratic young people than Republicans. So I can't agree with you. The young are very anti-Bush and anti war in -Iraq. The NEOCON young ones are usually syncopates and make you want to run away from them.

Regardless of their party affiliation, I am always struck by the evidence or level of interest in more meaningful things...and the general intelligence of our youth. Everyone focuses on the morons and these young people never get any credit. There is hope for all of us, after all.
