You can improve your sketching through constant practice and always remembering the basics that were hopefully taught to you a while ago. 2 very helpful tips I have, based on my own mistakes are to forget the cost of the paper that you're sketching on, if you think about it, it may inhibit your ability based on you not wanting to ruin the paper. The second is to lock your wrist and sketch from your elbow and your shoulder. Your lines will become more fluid and less broken at the points where your wrist would stop moving and creating the line.
As for your blog, I can't open it, it's a screen asking me to create a Yahoo 360 page, which I don't want to do.
Cheers!

Gotta keep doing it. Treat your sketch pad like toilet paper. Copy old master drawings carefully line by line. Look at these:

150 Masterpieces of Drawing - Anthony Toney ( Dover Publ. )

Drawing Lessons From The Great Masters - Robert Beverly Hale ( Watson Guptill )

It's aaaaaalll elbow grease so to speak.

Drawing Lessons By the Great Masters is an awesome book. If you are interested in figure drawing, make sure to study human anatomy, how joints fit together, where muscles connect, etc.

Drawing is like any other skill, you must study and work hard by practicing, then you will improve.

i agree with the person who recommends Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.

Also just do it! carry a small sketchbook and try to capture whatever catches your eye with as few lines as possible, be free!

Remenber, the brain will sort of fill in the blanks of what you are looking at. When you put your pencil to paper render what you SEE not what you know it there. You will be surprised at how changing you mental perspetctive can change your style!

Good luck to you

The best way to get better at anything is to practice. Another way to get better at sketching is to look at sketches by other artists you admire. Examine their style and try to emulate it. Experiment! Good luck!

The link you left will simply link to the 360 page of whomever clicks on it. It goes to mine when I click on it.

If you would like to learn to draw more realistically, then I can HIGHLY recommend the book, "Drawing on the Right Side of The Brain".
If practise what it says in that book, you will learn how to really see. We all think we know how to see, but we really don't. You will be amazed at how your drawing will improve.

the best thing to improve ur sketches is to focus on the thing u r drawin' and don't draw anything from mind till u r a 100 % sure u can do it
it's a matter of self -confidence:)

you gotta keep on practicing, i am actually getting good at sketching things my self, the best and easiest thing i can sketch is probably a rose, that's just me, i practiced the extras like the stem and the thorns,etc.... but i guess the phrase "practice makes perfect"...
you sentiments, i didn't quite understand you question,.... you blog was pretty cool though.

Keep drawing. The more you draw and the more you are able to free your mind the better your art will be, it takes time that's all and lots of practice
