Uhhh...Hezbollah has killed its share of civilians. Why are you reporting only one side of the story? Israel does not negotiate with terrorists.

The Israeli army said Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets into northern Israeli towns, killing a middle-age man and a woman and wounding more than 35 civilians. Hezbollah said it was using a new missile that appeared to be more advanced than previous models.

Two days of Israeli bombings, the heaviest air campaign against its neighbor in 24 years, had killed 47 Lebanese and wounded 103, Health Minister Mohammed Jawad Khalife said. Eight Israeli soldiers have been killed.

Both sides played a high stakes game following the capture of the two soldiers by Hezbollah: Israel sought to end Hezbollah's presence on the border, while the guerrillas insisted on trading the captured soldiers for Arab prisoners.

Sandwiched between the two sides was Lebanon, which Israel said it held responsible for Hezbollah's actions. Hezbollah fighters operate with almost total autonomy in southern Lebanon, and the government has no control over their actions. But Lebanon has long resisted international pressure to disarm the group.

because in both situations its Lebanon or Hezbollah putting forward the numbers. So, if someone receives killed, Hezbollah counts them as a civilian. yet in the experience that they live to inform the tale, Hezbollah counts them as a militant. BTW, did you spot the correction with the help of the Lebanese authorities on the present casualty count number? Lebanon had presented that 40 civilians were killed with the help of a modern-day Israeli attack. Then, below an afternoon later, they replaced that to a million civilian casualty. and also you've faith their math?

Kidnapping soldiers is an act of war. So far, Israel is within legal boundaries for a war. If the naval blockade continues, and causes a humanitarian crisis, at some point the rules of war might be broken.

Actauly Hebollah started this by shooting rockets into Isreali cities which have killed scores of people for the last few years. Not to mention the suicide bombers. Isreal gave up the west bank in hopes of peace. That didn't happen because the leaders of Arab world like to keep Isreal as the enemy. This way their people focus on that rather than the fact that their rulers live in palaces and they live in tents. It's the oldest trick in the book.

It is perfectly legal to defend yourself if you are attacked. Firing rockets, attacking the soldiers and killing civilians with suicide bombers warrants a response. If Hezbollah and Hamas wanted peace, they would have been happy with getting Gaza and southern Lebanon back from the Israelis.

Is any act like that actually "legal." No. Wars are not morally legal.

That struggle has been ongoing for a long time. It's also in the name of religion. Difficult to resolve. Neither side will compromise.

It's quite sad.

When it comes to international conflict, law seems to go out the window. At least Isreal is concentrating their fire on government services and airports, which are strategic, instead of sending missiles over and having no idea where they might land.
