They don't have to. They redistricted each state so that the incumbent rate is around 90% or more, and Rove is going to keep a hold on the presidency for a while yet.

Bush was never elected, so he doesn't have to listen to us. In fact, in 2004 he took his "win" as a "mandate from the people" that he was allowed to do whatever he wanted without asking the people ever again.

Never, why should they? They've been screwing us for years, and we keep sending the same ones back for decades, even though we know they are lying to us.

The only hope is for the American public to care more about what is good for the country than about their party (unlikely). Or the public school system improves enought so that people can make informed decisions (unlikely). Or people get motivated to turn off the TV and get off the couch (unlikely).

So what's the answer? Term limits I think would help. Remove control of the education system from the government so that kids might get a real education. Get rid of the 2 party system. Just some thoughts.

When we all stand up and show them who really has the power. As long as people say "oh well, they have the power" we will always have people that push their own personal agendas when they get elected.

For example: Do you really think they could do anything about it if EVERY SINGLE employer and employee in America stopped paying income tax?

Never. They only cared for us when it was around election time because that's the time when we as the people actually counted. Now they have the power and the authority to do as they please and that even means shi***** on the people that put them there.
