Call the store where you purchased the furniture and ask for the manufacturer's phone, address and e-mail. Tell them that you are unsatisfied with the purchase and intend to make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. It does not matter that the furniture itself is discontinued, the finish is probably one that is commonly still in use. Further, it is the manufacturer that is responsible for the quality and performance of the product. I'm certain that the manufacturer would be very interested in the lack of customer service that one of their retail outlets is providing and that their product is not performing. Often times manufacturers will send out an area rep to inspect the problem, ask for it if they don't offer. You will want the main office or customer service number for the manufacturer to request assistance. Good luck and go after them!

How long have you had the furniture? I would contact the manufacturer and get some touchup paint. IF they still have it, your furniture store is big on sales and lousy on followup. Otherwise, find a white that is close to the color of the furniture and rub it on in thin layers to match what the furniture is supposed to look like. Make sure to apply a layer of stain killer first, otherwise, the stains will keep coming through. Some furniture manufacturer! What is the brand name...I want to avoid buying that one...publish here.

the store should have some responsibility but if you want to fix it your self, since is supposed to look distressed, start out with fine sand paper to see how coarse of sand paper you need, sand the parts that look bad and the rest to be even, mix water and white paint and rub it on with a rag then wipe it off, when it dries re sand a little to get the destressed look, its really easy and looks good

Go buy the paint yourself.
