Hi everyone, I am 18 years old and have never had a girlfriend. Growing up I lived in the boondocks and thusly was always a loner at school. I'm kind of fat and have low self-esteem, and on top of that I'm shy and introverted.
I have some guy friends, but not many, and one or two female friends.

So... How do I make friends? And more specifically, how do I make friends with women? I usually don't know what to say, and I've never had a girlfriend. I get kind of nervous whenever I'm talking to a girl I haven't met before, and after I do talk to them I'm usually pretty quiet and I think they think I'm weird. I also don't really have much to talk about, since I spend most of my time on the computer. The times when I hang out with my friends (maybe once a week or every two weeks) we usually just watch movies or hang out, so nothing eventful really happens...

Can anyone help?

Get off the computer, and find something to do with real live people.

Hang out more... you don't have to talk a lot... just be with people and listen. Eventually you will find a girl with similar interests...

hopefully those mutual interests won't be her boyfriend.

Dude.... don't even go there.... that could get real ugly really fast.

Men find it hard to make friend with women because of the sex thing. Most men feel that having a woman friend will entail sex at some point. Make the woman realize that sex doesn't have to play a role. Making friends means listening and sharing ideas and feelings. This way you can find out how much you have in common. You can make a woman friend without the whole date thing. Find out what you both have in common. Do you have a dog? Does she? Invite her and her dog out to the beach or the park and have fun. Once you have establised being friends, if you both like eachother enough, romance can happen naturally. You will be more at ease with eachother when the actual dating occurs. Oh yeah, at get off the pc for awhile. Real people may be more of challenge, but you may know more of what you're gettingin person. Online, you never know.

Loose weight. Start living healthier life, do sports, work out. This will help you loose weight the natural way, gets you in shape and will give you plenty of opportunity to be in places where you can meet people.
