that would be bloody show! and your mucus plug. and labor. after your mucus plug is gone then usually you deliver in matter of hours or just a few days. pack a bag to the hospital if you don't already have one and since you are so far along i would go to a place close to the hospital (a park or mall) and go walking. it will help progress your labor and help with some pain with your contractions. call your doc for any other ideas and how far along he wants you to be before you go to the hospital. congrats and good luck!

sounds like you're in labour. if you are certain that you were 2 cm dialated last time you saw the doc, it's probably your mucous plug that's coming out. Same thing happened to me when I went into labour and by the time I got to the hospital I was 4 cm.
No one can tell you how long it will take to deliver from this point - every women and every pregnancy is different.
Hurry up and get to the doctor. Or at least call and they will tell you what to do.
Good luck!!!

It depends on which pregnancy this is.
In first pregnancies, it can take up to 2 weeks to have the baby after seeing bloody mucous (or bloody show, or the mucous plug). In subsequent pregnancies, if you see bloody show, your labor will probably start within 48 hours.
In my first pregnancy, I saw bloody show, and my son was born exactly a week later. In my second pregnancy I never saw bloody show at all. In my third, I saw bloody show in the morning, and my daughter was in my arms by the end of the day.

It means that you need to start getting ready to go to the hospital. It sounds like the start of labor. The pains is your tendons and muscles loosening up and getting ready for delivery of your baby. I would stay close to a phone and when labor starts make sure that you time them and call your Dr.
Good Luck and Congratulations on your new baby

Good luck!!!

See your ob-gyn immediately. Blood and pain is a bad sign. Your baby could be in danger.
