I don't think that you should feel bad. You didn't make him break up with your friend. He broke up with her because he like you better : )

You should feel bad if in fact you and this girl were also friends and you did something to encourage him to break up with her to further develop a relationship with him. You have to ask yourself how you would feel if the situation were reversed and can you form a lasting relationship with someone who may tend to be so "fickle"?

Why should you feel guilty is he prefers to go out with you? The trick is not to feel bad if he eventually decides to go out with someone other than you.

Maybe if you were plotting against her or something I would feel bad! But it isn't your fault he likes you better. And the rule about not dating your friends ex is just silly!

there are plenty of men out there, why you didn´t respect the one she was with. It must have hurt her, you could have waited some time before going out with him. You probably lost a good friend and you may realize this once he goes for one of your friends or else.

well it all depends if you messed with somebody that was yours. if you did then you SHOULD feel bad.BUT...if your friend started liking you and then you gradually liked him back and didnt make it obvious for his"girlfriend" to know ... then you SHOULDNT feel bad. these kind of things happen all the time.it just depends how it happend. but if you really like this guy...GO FOR IT AND DONT WORRY ABOUT IT!

The same thing happened to me. If he really likes you, and you really like him, you shouldn't feel too bad, especially since it was his decision to break up with her, not yours. Dont be surprised if the ex-gf continues to try to make you feel bad tho.
