Before you get to decide, you might have to consider the longitivity on the job. If your career interests are in line with sales/marketing, which is more or less paid the way you've mentioned in the first case, its good option to go for it as you will build strong business fundamentals from your interactions with companies like Nike, MS... which are known for their best practises. On the other hand, if you would like to associate yourself with leading/event management with a steady income flow, the second option is suggested. Your take... All the best in any case!

Job 2.
Any company that hires you as an independent employee, has no plans of making you an important part of its future. (Probably breaking the law by the way, because if your job doesnt meet the federal requirements of an independent contrctor, they are responsible for your FICA and Medicare).
You do realize in addition to paying your own Federal and State taxes, you will have to pay double the amount of Social Security and Medicaid with job 1 right? Thas an extra 7.5% off the top.

I say go with the second job. You have benefits, a higher salary, and may be more likely to move up the corporate ladder.

Choose the one that best fits you. Also, which one pays you the most? Think about that.
