Because carparking is an intensive usage of council property and is therefor charged extra. It's fair as not all taxpayers use the carparks.

there are about 60 million living in britain, if we all refused to pay the rediculous taxes, what can a few thousand people who work for the government do ?????
imagine imprisoning the whole of the nation for refusing to pay council tax ??
... it would be impossible,
the only option is for the government is to considerably reduce the amount they take,
who will pay to kepp the nation in prison with out any tax payers ???
we should all stick together and say enough is enough, !!!
they take enough from us !!

The tax you pay represents your portion of global expenses incurred by your municipality for day to day operations, etc.
The parking is a service that is offered to those who wish to take advantage of it. Generally speaking, there isn't enough parking to accommodate everyone and therefore it shouldn't be paid for by all.

MONEY MONEY MONEY
CAR........CAR.......CAR
Get it CAR MEANS MONEY TO
Government and councils everywhere
PETROL TAX
M>O
ROAD TAX
CAR PARKING FEES +VAT tax
Look at petrol
how much doe`s petrol cost
your in for a shock
In England we have the
CHEAPEST petrol in EUROPE
Petrol at the moment cost about
per litre.......................17p
gov tax.......................63p
VAT.....17.5%...........14p
Total cost per litre....94p
So petrol in ENGLAND COSTS ABOUT
17 PENCE PER LITRE
ITS ABOUT 20p+ per litre in rest of EUROPE
Government taxes we pay make it the DEAREST PETROL in EUROPE to buy at the PUMPS
When OIL was discovered in the NORTH SEA the GOVERNMENT said WE would have the cheapest petrol in EUROPE.
That statement is still true to-date
Its the TAXES that make it the DEAREST
So you should realise MOTOR VEHICLES are the second biggest source of income for the government
After CIGARETTES.

to get as much money out you as possible, so that they can build such useful things as chairs made out of flowers and put them on roundabouts. while you need an off-road vehicle to negotiate what used to be a road.
