I think we should move to an 'opt out' position instead of an 'opt in' which we have at present. That would give us the best of all worlds. Those who did not want to donate would have to make a deliberate choice. At present, people have to be approached at a very difficult time to be asked for donations.
My nearest and dearest does know what I want.

Yes, why do we let perfectly good organs rot in the ground or go up in smoke. Just because of some ridiculous notion of religion!
The best way to increase the donor list would be to charge a £200 death tax, which is non payable if all the body is donated to medical research/donor
All the fuss made about organs being used is rubbish! the body is dead, lets use as much as possible to help others!

Organ donation should be a personal choice, as they are our personal property. However, I wish more people would look at it as we can not take them with us where we are going. No one should force anyone to donate organs, but the mass education of the population should be done... as so many people do not know the ramifications of both the shortage, nor what happens when you donate.

Yes - I think the organ donor register should be 'opt out' rather than 'opt in'
I think a lot of people aren't on the register out of apathy or 'haven't got round to it' rather than a conscious decision. If the list was opt out and you objected to being on it - you would make the conscious decision to be removed.

i dont think it should be compulsary
BUT if you have a donor card i do NOT think the relatives should be able to go against it
i would like to carry a donor card but i refuse to on the grounds that it is not my choice to make that choice is taken away from me and will be given to my next of kin who can if they wish go totally against my wishes
by the way my husband does know my wishes

People that want to donate organs after death should be encouraged to do so by local health authorities.

i think you should be able to sell off your body parts as a part of your estate - see how many people sign up then.
its a nice thought to give a gift of life. it's an even nicer one to see your own wife and kids looked after once you're gone.
