Well, I became an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). About 10 years ago, I was on a date at the movies. While we were in the theatre, behind us, a little boy started to choke on something and his parents screamed frantically because they didn't know what to do. The guy I was with (who worked in a lab at a hosp.) did nothing, and I didn't know what to do either. The parents carried the boy out of the theatre screaming for help. I have never felt so helpless. I learned CPR and became an EMT because I want to make sure that in case of an emergency, I can help out. I would suggest that EVERYONE take a Basic Life Support class. It can be done in about 6-8 hrs. And no, I didn't date the guy again after that! Even though I didn't know what to do to help that child, I was turned off by the fact that he didn't either. I know you didn't ask for all that, I just thought I'd share it with all my friends on YahooAnswers....thanks for listenin' guys! Peace.

I am raising a son with values and morals; my marriage is a fine example for anyone; we do church and community volunteering. I think just by being "better" people, it helps the world become better.

I'm part of a non profit no kill cat shelter, I have 16 kittens in my house and 3 that are bottle fed. I fell that I'm doing something good.

i recycle, and i'm thinking about getting a hybrid car next time.
plus i work for an educational organization. we educate the public on all sorts of things they may need or want to know.
