Body: UNITED NATIONS - The United States cast the first U.N. Security Council veto in nearly two years Thursday, blocking an Arab-backed resolution that would have demanded Israel halt its military offensive in the Gaza Strip.
The draft, sponsored by Qatar, accused Israel of a "disproportionate use of force" that endangered Palestinian civilians, and it demanded Israel withdraw its troops from Gaza.
It is fine for Isreal to kill anything and everything, but if other countries say "Hae it is overkill" Well Amerika finally gives a **** and makes a veto. What a New World Order Police State Be With Us or Get lost Country have we become. What percentage of the World needs to be eliminated before USA can spend Billions HERE / For medecine, food and helping the last three families who are to poos to be on the board of Enron or buddies of Martha Stewart. Dont forget that Lebanon boasted about capturing two Israeli soldiers. Is that not a declaration of war? I agree that Israel has gone over the top, but lats have some balance. Why not pass a resolution demanding the release of the hostages too?

Where in the heck do you get your facts. The first veto vote bye WHO? The USA or the whole security council?. How many times has France , Russia China or Germany vetoed one of our proposals
OR SIMPLY THREATENED to veto so we wouldn't bring it up
