I have had one to check and see if my tubes were blocked. It is supposed to help increase the chance of getting pregnant within the next 3 months. I got pregnant on the 2nd month after the HSG but I also need 1 round of Clomid. It was a very painful experience for me, just to warn you. Some women I talked to it didn't bother - just a bad cramp feeling. Mine was horrible - it made me almost not want to have children because it hurt so bad. But I am happy and 61/2 months pregnant. Good luck.

Well, it is a procedure that allows the doctor to see inside your uterus and treat certain problems that he can find (such as removing polyps). So yes, it can aid in fertility. Talk to your doctor and find out what he is looking for.
