Some tuner cars are in fact hotter than stock, but I agree too much show, not enough go is too common place. I willa dmit to having put a lot of decals on my old Neon, but I used to race and autcross the darn thing, so I felt it was justified. I had only redone the airbox and intakes, so it wasn't ridiculous, and I did not put on any body mods, just some decals. Looking back, I was too cheesy, but it made me happy, so that's what mattered.

I feel the same way...I like a completely clean stock look with engine mods...I'm just a sleeper kind of guy. I don't get body kits...they crack, paint chips/cracks, fall off...they're a waste of money. For the price of a kit and paint, you could buy a nasty turbo kit.

Most of them are pathetic, American Muscle is the way to go if you can afford gas. I think it's priceless when people think they gain x ammount of horsepower by putting a bumble bee exhaust on, when they don't understand that manufactureres overrate (severely sometimes) horsepower gain ratings.
