Just because someone doesn't agree with you statement disguised as a question that doesn't automatically make you an ,idiot,stupid ,or a racist for those who are quick to label someone ignorant ..part of being ignorant is not agreeing to disagree

I think part of the problem is that people with quick wits are often easily misunderstood when their only medium of communication is written. Things as you say that are "disguised" come across as being sarcastic and insulting when they may or may not have been the intention. The easiest way to avoid that is to say what you mean in the simpliest of terms and even then be prepared to occasionally have to defend or justify your position. Remember if it were just a group of people sitting around in person having these discussions, it would be easy to quickly interject clarification to avoid any misunderstandings. That just isn't possible here. However, you can always try to email the person directly and just say that you didn't intend to offend them (even if they were the offending party - it will throw them off) and that you would really like to discuss the issue briefly touched upon in the forum. I've met some really neat people doing that and in the end learned that even on those things that we totally disagreed we could come to a consensus to respect the other's position. Hope this helps!

We trigger into people insecurities, bad moods or just plain ignorant point whores. I always have to disguise my questions or reword questions because people just don't get it. For example bear with me if you're a republican. I asked "What approval rating should president bush receive before he gets impeached?" what do i get? "You can't do that you dummy its not in the constitution." So i had reword my question and asked "A question from GOD..What approval rating should president bush receive before I end his life?
and do you think bush will make it to 2008 before hitting the 15% mark? again i get stupid answers like "Your question is out of line!!! I hope I answered your question, if i didn't at all please reword it :)

There is always something called "report abuse" if somebody is attacking your character simply because you disagree with someone's opinion. People have a right to express what they think without feeling attacked.
