Full time commonly means 40 hours of work per week, but this can vary with your employer. Nobody is guaranteed hours, so even if you're hired as full time, they can cut back your hours unless you're in a union, then there are probably union rules that govern the situation. What did they tell you when you were hired? Do you have a company policy manual? That might tell you some answers.

I believe 32 hours is considered full time.
