Got one, used it, and next morning my muscles were stiff as if I'd had a serious session at the gym without warming down! It definitely does something but I couldn't be doing with the faff of all the wires so gave up using it long before I would have noticed results!!

No. Don't waste your money. They will help tone to a small degree. But you need to exercise correctly, & watch your diet.
Remember there are NO short cuts to to being in shape.

Ab tonning may work by strengthening muscle underneath but same time weakening your back muscles. One contracts and retracts. So you more likely to get a sore back. Best way to loose fat on belly is as follows:
1. Get more sunlight at least 30 min a day - as body thinks it in winter,
2. Drink more water (ideally fresh vegetable juices or mineral) - holds water as retention because it in a drought
3. Eat more regularly as it thinks it is in famine, if don't eat more often and little as often -
4. Cut out all root veg (carrots, potatoes) and wheat as these spike your blood sugar.
5. Also eliminate any fried foods as they become plastic and your stomach & liver have hard time to deal with them as nature never saw this type of food.

depends what you mean by 'work'.
you won't lose any weight that way, or improve your muscle tone.
but they are a lot less intellectually challenging than reading a book, or even picking your nose.

Paint your own toe-nails instead of sitting for a pedicure.
