Don't get an iPod. Get a different brand of MP3 player.

iRiver Clix. It holds around 500 songs. (2GB)
Radio, photos, video, FM recording, voice recording, games, it's entertaining and works well, too. It has a cool design. 19 hr battery life. Much better deal than the Nano. ($200)

Or Sandisk Sansa e200. 2/4/6GB. $150/$200/$270.
Does everything the iRiver Clix does except the games part.

way, way too a lot bud. For an 8gb? In Walmart, those are $225 each and each and every. you'll get a clean 16gb (or possibly a 32gb once you're fortunate) off ebay for that a lot. instantaneous internet is loose, offered you've a source to feed off of. some purposes are loose, regardless of the indisputable fact that some value $0.ninety 9 on up. iPod touches are definately relaxing! and that i imagine they're definately fairly well worth the money. i ought to attempt to detect a extra perfect deal on an 8gb although if I were you.

I'd give it a 4 out of 5. It fits about 1,000 songs, which should be the most important consideration. I've found all Ipods to be of pretty decent quality, although I know some people have had battery issues.

If you really want a huge variety of music, though, I'd think about one of the larger sizes.

1, why would you spend $150-200 on an iPod Nano if it's only an MP3 and you can get others by $50?

and would you really listen to all 1000 songs? 50 songs are fine to me.

I bought my wife the 4gb for Christmas and she loves it. It is super simple to use with I-tunes and you can also dowload your ENTIRE music collection onto it for free. They are a bit pricy but it is a flash player (more reliable then a hard drive player that can break if you drop it) and it is so small you forget you're wearing it. If you are not concerned with size you can buy a bigger i-pod with more meory for about the same price. The larger ones are hard drive though so it depends on your primary use for the unit. GOOD LUCK!

If your going to get an Ipod, I'd go with the video one, which is only a $100 dollars more.

Excellent
I bought a few things at Refurb Depot that worked out well. Same as new with a warranty, but alot cheaper.

For 100 more, you can just get a video iPod. Much better deal, and it has more standard memory space. And uhh, VIDEOS.
