Whenever I type in the address bar in Internet Exlorer and push Go or hit Enter, it takes me to the Yahoo Search page and whatever I had typed changes into some other language and the address bar just has an "h" in it then. I can go through Yahoo like normal, but typing in the address bar and searching for anything on Yahoo is impossible because it changes to another language. Can anyone help me?

Stop telling me to get firefox because I had that before. I need to fix this, not get something new. If that's the only advice you have, don't answer here please.

I had a similar problem and changed to firefox. Later on I had some problem or other and had to contact my ISP and the lady their said I had been affected by adware or spyware. Update you antivirus, get the latest ad-aware from Lava, and the latest version of Spy-bot, oh, and also a decent firewall. Don't run spyware doctor, the lady said that caused some of my problems.

Do not use the address bar unless you are sure of the web address your are looking for. The address you typed is not being recognized. Therefore, it is taking you back to your yahoo web page. Use the yahoo search engine to search for the website first, then save it in your favorite folder. This will eliminate you haveing type it everytime.

You very well might have either a dialer virus or a browser hijack virus on your system.....and your current (and likely outdated) anti-virus program isn't catching it.
If you ask "what anti-virus program?", then you evidently don't have one that's working right. Go to www.grisoft.com there you'll really have to look for it, but they offer a FREE anti-virus program download that's highly impressive (updates automatically and they too are FREE).
The next FREE program I recommend u get is Crap Cleaner www.ccleaner.com After install, just use the ANALYZE / RUN CLEANER feature, the other stuff is more for advanced users.
Those two programs alone should pretty much help out.

Seems like Yahoo hijacked your IE, I sued them for couple of millions but they refuse to pay. hehe
Did you default yahoo search?
Choose or click English Yahoo.
If it still persist give your monitor a stern look and shake a hammer at it, it works for me.
Why do you need to type in the address bar with all those available links provided. Use it for special cases only.
You better use "Googirl" to search for you. my girl helps

Make sure you have virus protection. I'd back-up all important data and then get your computer back to its factory state, using the CD that shipped with it.
I've never had this problem in IE, so I can't be more help. Sorry.

Check your locale settings and see if it is set to English. If it is not, set it to United States English and see if that helps. And set English to be your default language too.
