Whe you put it inside, it waits and it has disc error. When the game starts, for five minutes, it says disc error in the game instead.

sence it wont work for that its probuly the dvd drive thas shot and/or the laser reader for reading the disc's and there's a 1% chance that it is all of the discs you own soo dont listen to anyone that says that... if u need anymore info email me at bakedpotato25@yahoo.com

does it do that with each disc or just one it could be a disc problem but if it does that with each one then return it also make sure it is clean the disc that is and if it still doesn't work then just return it and if you can't get it fixed there are system fixers

I have this same problem with my xbox now. I have one of the first ones ever made. I need to take it apart, get all the dust out, and clean the laser lens. Sounds like you might need to do the same or get someone to do it for you.

Xboxes...Mine's the most cantankerous thing in the world. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I wait for it to work.

if it only happens to one game it is probably that the isk is scratched
if it all your games then your dvd drive is probably shot

Resurface your disc at a pawn shop. if that don't work...
