Radical feminists tend to believe that traditional sex roles, family roles, relationship roles, etc. were all designed to oppress and control women. For example, feminist law professor
Catherine MacKinnon, who originated the concept of sexual harassment, makes the outrageous claim that "Marital sex is sexual harassment, is rape." Furthermore, she insists that men are a "group sexually trained to woman-hating aggression" and claims that nearly all heterosexual sex is rape by the male.
She is not the only feminist to hold this view. Robin Morgan, editor of Ms. magazine, has offered that "most of the decently married bedrooms across America are settings for nightly rape."
It is not difficult to see how deep the misandry is among radical feminists. Given that level of androphobia, how can do anything except turn to other women.

There isn't necessarily a "link".
There may be a large number of lesbians who support women's rights strongly, but that is because they have more to loose.
Many women give-up the fight for further or equal rights because they can depend on their husband, boyfriend or father.
It is a long, tiresome, uphill battle against the men who still control the upper echelons of society.
Some women just give up in their attempts to make a change.
However, a lesbian is fighting not only for herself, but for the rights of those she loves most as well. Thus, she may fight longer and with more passion.
And if "feminists and gays always stick up for each other" it is because we are downtrodden everyday, everywhere by men like you who consistently have a problem with us. Go back to the Good ol' Boys Club where you belong.

While feminism is not always about hating men, but rather the empowerment of the feminine. What homo's and feminists have in common is that they offer a paradigm shift from the "masculine way of survival of the fittest-esqe philosophy" to a more non-violent maternal-like thinking.

You are incorrect about the supposed link- feminists and gays may align for a common cause: equality in society.

Feminists want to believe that there are no differences between men and women other than physically. These same feminists believe homosexuals are living proof. It is these same feminists that want scientists to "confirm" that homosexuality is genetic.

They both believe in equality after generations of being oppressed by a straight-male-patriarchy. Nothing too surprising about that.
