I'm a White Sox fan, but right now, I have to say that the Boston Red Sox are the best team out there. White Sox starting pitching hasn't been as good this year, and the BoSox are playing like they're on a mission the past few weeks.
Detroit's got the best record currently, but they're still unproven in the playoffs and haven't been winning vs the tougher teams in the AL yet. Until they do those things, I think they're out of the discussion for best team.
And I think the NL is just so much weaker than the AL right now that no team there can possibly be considered unless they were completely dominating, and that hasn't been the case at all yet.

Hey, I'm an Astros fan and the Rangers might make the playoffs while the Astros won't. I think the best National League team is the Mets and the best AL team is the White Sox.

As a Red Sox fan living in Boston, I would say that the White Sox are this years best team. They are well rounded and probably are the only team with 5 very capable starters.

a rangers fan eh? well thats cool. looking at how your teams tied with the A's you guys might actually make the playoffs this year.
Im a die hard white sox fan though.
and the sox are the best all around team out there. They have pitchers who can go deep into innings, and hitters that are phenominal.

The Rangers are a decent team, but can't go all the way. I think the Red Soxs are the team to beat once they get Clement back. Yes, Clement. He's much better than Johnson!

Even though I bleed St. Louis Cardinals red, the best team in baseball is the Chicago White Sox

I think from top to bottem its the White Sox. They have relatively the same rotation as last year and have added a Jim Thome which has revamped their offense to the number one run producing team in baseball. Bobby Jenks has also solidified himself as an all-star closer and has proven himself already in the post season. n There are also lots of trade rumors going around and they have lots of young trade bait. If their starting pitching comes around it will be scary for other teams to have to face them. If they do make it to the World Series we have Texas's own Michael Young to thank for home field for that money 2 out 2 rbi hit in the top of the ninth.

I am a die hard Braves fan so I think they are the best team out there. However, they haven't shown it this season, but I'm still rocking with them.

the white sox hands down are the best in the leauge, they led everone in run scored and they havent even started to pitch well yet. the tigers are in for a fight. the tigers have lights out pitching but they wont win the division, they will win the wild card. i think they could use another arm in the rotation and but they are loaded. i see mets and white sox in the world series for sure. this is not boston or the yanks year...
