Always keep your back clean with and wash with a cleaser for your skin type. Wear clean tops. If your back tends to be oily use a moiturizer after washing. Oily skin needs moisturizing so the skin does produce excess oil or sebum. Use a toner or astringent with salicylic acid.

Neutrogena Body Wash. You can buy it at any discount store, such as Walmart, Target, Kmart, etc. Its the bottle with the orange-looking gel. You can can also use any type of body wash as long as it has sacylic acid in it. That's the main ingredient that gets rid of acne.

tanning took mine away...of course, which is worse? melanoma, or back acne?

Another one, I switched to a soap without all the moisturizers and fragrances and all that crap. Just plain old man soap. Dries your skin out pretty quick, but no acne...
