I read that a canadian otter was introduced to the scottish highlands and attacked by the native otters because he sounded different. Any thoughts?

Some birds have regional accents, its thought to be the first step in the development of a seperate species. And each whale pod has its own song, but this doesn't really count as a regional accent.

My pet sheep has an accent. My dog defiantly barks different to my brothers 200 miles away. The swallow in my roof has a South African accent. My parrot has quite a few. So no I would say.

There are 3 groups of killer whales that live off the north west coast of the u.s. that haven't bred in thousands of years because they can't communicate with one another. Even though they're the same species and living in the same place, they have totally different diets and lifestyles too.

Sounds reasonable. I have heard that dolphins and whales who are known to have language have different accents depending on which part of the ocean they live in

I don't believe that animals have accents. But, I do believe that animals only understand the languages in which they were raise. Hench, animals raised in Mexico only understand Spanish. Raised in America only understand English.etc.....

They found this same phenomenon among gorillas and chimps in different places. They found that they speak a different language. Also, desert elephants speak a different language from jungle elephants. I think that it is fascinating- totally makes sense, though, when you think about it.

I don't know about animals having accents, but it is pretty universal that it can be really problematic to be different.

i read somewhere about two groups of bats one group is from norfolk and the other from yorkshire and they dont intermingle because they have different accents. sounds crazy i know

I don't really know if they do cause my dog is from cuba and i don't really know if she has an accent but if she did it would be spanish. She dosen't really look like she's from cuba but i don't know and cuban names so i named her Kandy. Hope i helped.
