Italy lost a game in 1982 in the first round and ended up winning the cup in the end. yiiiippieeee

Yes ! It is possible ! it is not different if the team loses the first match or the last match
for example mexico lost the last game against Portugal and went up ! and France made equal games in preliminaries but went up to the final I don`t know ( I can`t remember ! ) if any team like this went up to win the cup !
