the truth is that they cant get anyone better than baker right now. u really think that pinella is gona do better than baker? the only stat that pinella will have more of than baker is gettin ejected from games. u cant blame baker for the injuries either. and for all of those idiots that say its the GM Jim Hendry's fault, what would u do? He did an amazing job in the off-season. They got Pierre who is starting to heat up and he clogged the hole out in center and the lead off spot. Then he picked up Jones who replaced Burnitz. Addiing Howry and Eyre was an amazing thing...now the bullpen is actually decent. The fact is u cant blame dusty baker for wood and priors injuries..same with Hendry. Hendry did a nice job picking up Nevin whom will more than likely be traded for a prospect or two. Im a die hardcub fan and i cant stand that the White Sox won it all last year. im jealous of most things that they do...but im still behind baker and hendry all the way. People should stop saying get rid of baker just because the press or ESPN feels that way. Be a real fan and be loyal to your team and its GM and its manager.

Come on!! Dusty Baker is NOT the problem with the Cubs. Last time I looked he had not fielded, pitched, or hit a baseball in any Cubs' game. The players play the game. They are the reason the Cubs are a poor club.
Gotta call them as I see them!!

why would you get rid of dusty.
the cubs have no real line up.
prior and woods are washed up and lee getting hurt was a very big deal.
get some players who want to show some pride and work hard and have some talent and dusty will show why he is a great manager. heck look at what he did with san francisco. all he had there was barry Bonds and Jason Schmitt

Dusty Baker ran Wood & Prior into the ground, and he's the reason why Neifi Perez is still collecting a major-league salary.
He should be gone by now. After the season I think both he and the GM will be gone.

No.
the team is garbage.
its like managing a run-a-way freight train with shot brakes and a broken control panel.
its not much you can do as one person to avoid the impending doom now is there.
If you pay attention, he's actually very good.
remember, the outcome of a baseball game is 99% dependent on the players actions, 1% staff and managerial.
