where is the fuel filter on a 96 saturn sl?

Drivers side engine bay, bolted to the frame. You will need to replace the regulator and filter in one assembly, I believe. I'm not sure when that change occured. Check www.saturnfans.com for more information. No saturn S-series has ever had the filter in the gas tank. I recommend having an extra pair of hands around, it's hard to get the old filter out sometimes.

Look under the car/hood and you will find it. Sometimes they are in the gas tank itself, but I don't think they were in 97 on any car I meant. By the way saturns are peices of shat.
