The error in alcoholic drink is overindulgence. And those who have substance dependency may have a problem with any of it--cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, overeating. And so, you might ask yourself, is it wrong to work in a supermarket, CVS pharmacy, or a Quik Trip market that provides food, beer, cigarettes, or medicines? Of course not.
A person who works honestly and diligently and enjoys his/her job is doing the right thing. Aside from the above, I would recommend you choose a long-term career however in a field that promotes positive influence upon cultures. It will be more fulfilling personally.
Thanks for your question! A good one.

Of course it's immoral. You are encouraging alcoholism, and profiting from the misery of others. You are, basically, a licensed drug dealer.
Mind you, most people don't care whether what they are doing to make money is moral or not. Look at the people in the "defence" industry, the military-industrial complex. They want the money, and they'll kill to get it.
Look at police officers in the United States. Are they fighting crime, or just making money from it?
What is a salesman, other than a liar and a groveller?
Even the "good" professions like teaching and health care are often very dishonest in their self-presentation, claiming a much higher quality of service than they actually provide.
Other than fire-fighting and cut-rate construction labor, I think there are very few people in purely moral professions.
So, while what you are doing is immoral, it is probably no more immoral than most professional activities. After all, a lot of people just like getting drunk.

Working in a liquor store is not morally wrong. Your selling a product that is legal to people over the age of 21, and your not degrading yourself by working in retail.

Are people who work at designer clothing stores who sell outrageously priced crap that no one needs while children starve immoral?
Is the guy who sold you the car you can't afford immoral?
Your morals are instilled in you at an early age, maybe another job will give you a greater sense of community and justice.

If working at a liquor store is wrong then working at any retail grocery store is also wrong.
Dont worry about the morality of working.

Dont worry what people say about where you . In many places it is hard to find a job, so you do what you need to do, and dont let others get under your skin. Be happy you got a job, that is more then unemployed people have.

Depends on your own morals. If you feel like you are being a purveyor of something harmful, you're not. Alcohol in general is only harmful when abused.

If you are morally opposed to drinking alcohol, then yes. But if your personal morals (not your family's, tell them to mind their own beeswax) are OK with selling liquor, then it's not.

As long as you perform a public service, it's okay. Just don't let anyone abuse the priviledge. Take care.
