Make sure that you release the parking brake. (Be sure to chock the wheels, please.) And, you may have to remove the plug from the backing plate and use a screw driver (or brake adjustment tool) to back the shoes away from the drum. Also, check to see if there some little clips on the lug studs to hold the drum on.
If all that checks out, try using a "dead blow" mallet on the drum in various spots to coax it. Good Luck.

Make sure parking brake is fully released. Back off adjuster as far as it will go.
Drill two holes in the brake drum. 180 degrees apart, about 1/2 inch away from edge where it meets the center hub.
NOTE: Some Toyotas already have tapped holes to thread a bolt into.
Drill just thru the drum face( a little over 3/16") Use drill bit sizes so you can tread the holes to screw in a bolt. Use a bottom tap (tap is flat on the bottom)
You have to do this because pulling from the outside edge of from causes it to bind on the hub. Use plenty of penetrating oil every where.
The the parking brake actuator on the back of the drum is frozen , tap it with a hammer to release it.
Tighten bolts evenly and tap edge of brake drum with hammer.
Keep threading in the bolts and tapping until drum comes free.

Sometimes they are held on by screws, and you need an impact driver. Otherwies get a bfh, BIG ******* HAMMER. Or use a rubber hammer if your reusing the drums, sometimes they'll bend. MAKE SURE THE EBRAKE ISN'T ON
BTW, if you don't know how to get the drum off, don't attempt doing the brakes, drum brakes can be a pain, and you obviously don't know your *** from your elbow. Rust/grime holds things in place.
that person under me is a retard, too much typing involved, it takes a hammer and brute force. I almost pissed myself when he wrote it needs to be 4' off the ground.

Try heating the drum around the axle with a torch. This will make the drum expand, the axle will stay the same. Give the drum a few solid hits with a hammer. It should come loose.

Sometimes you can pry them off with a screw driver between the drum and backing itself. hitting with a hammer seems to have the best results. Hit on each side moving the drum side to side this should work the drum off.

I have a 2001 Toyota Corrola, and I bought a Hane's Manual for vehicle in order to proceed. Cost of book $20.00.
Too much typing here for me to take you through entire process.
Vehicle does need to be at least 4' feet off the ground.hope this helps you.
