A friend of mine watch porn and do masturbation very frequently!
I wish to assist him in two ways.
1. The problems that can be generated through such practices
2. Motivating him somehow not to do this.

If what he or she's doing is a crime, then I would present him with the statute and offer assistance in getting him/her to comply. Otherwise, his/her behavior can be construed by more than you can imagine as normal and healthy. I wonder if that person's intent is to hurt someone, or release pent up tension, frustration, anxiety, etc...hmm. Think of another act that you personally felt was shameful, how would you deal with that? For example, belching or picking your nose in public. How would you deal with someone elses problem so that it doesn't become your problem? Just trying to help. Hope I made you think. Greetings!

Why would you want to help a friend not masturbate? Unless his masturbation has risen (no pun intended) to the level of addiction, then there is absolutely, positively no reason he can't have a whack whenever he wants to (privacy allowing).
Your attempting to interfere with very personal choices, interference that could cost your friendship. Is your imposing your opinion of what you think is right worth that risk?
