Actually, as a human I AM ABLE TO MOVE MY TOES INDEPENDENTLY. It started out as a challenge from my high school biology teacher, but I followed through (unlike the rest of the class) and was able to develop control over the muscles of my toes. Comes in hand to pick up dropped things or win a drink on a dare.
