I think one of the main things is that the man was bone idle and talentless.

Of course, he thought he was a genius. He tried to get into art college in Vienna and they turned him down because he had no talent. Instead of finding something else to do with his life, he mooched around Vienna in the years before WW1 looking for someone to blame. He chose the Jews (blaming the Jews for your problems was fashionable at the time) and gradually turned that into a philosophy,

Then came the war - he liked being in the war, it gave him something to do and it was exciting. When Germany lost, guess who he blamed?

After the war, the authorities gave him a job spying on fringe political groups and there he discovered that he had a gift for speechifying and getting people worked up. A gift which enabled him to get lots of attention and not have to work hard - because he was bone idle still.

That's a gross over-simplification but I reckon those events, added to a character without any human sympathies or compassion, get as far as you will get in one paper.

Since you're writing a paper, I suggest that you read perhaps one of the greatest biographies...Jame Cross Giblin's The Life and Death of Adolf Hitler. It is a YA book, and it's very user friendly.

By telling his life story, you will notice a hundred things that happened to him that made him who he was. It's a very enlightening book...

You should find it very interesting...it has great photographs...and it even has comics and propaganda from the era.

don't even think about going with their ideas. Let me tell you a story. Hitler was a bad man. He thought about being evil dectator when he was in jail.

He was a little mentally unstable too. He had a lot of health problems also, and his 'personal doctor' guy gave him all these different medications and remedies that probably didn't help.

Hate. He was also mentally ill later in life because of a STD (which is no excuse)

i think you ought to read mein kamph. you can find out everything and his reasoning for his actions in his book. everything i am going to say here are words from his mouth! hitler was austrian not german. first of all. when he was younger he wanted to become an artist. as it turned out he said that when he went to the art school to try to get in it was owned by a jewish person and he was turned away. he started taking surveys and saw that mostly jewish people owned the media, art schools, entertainment in germany as well as austria. he believed them to be a parasite to germany and autria which means they contribute nothing to society and boycott business with other germans. hense if you were a jew you had a chance to climb up the social ladder in life but if you were a german there was no way for you to move up in life. he noted in his book that jewish people owning the media all the printing presses would say anything to undermine a german who was running for office or trying to become a politician. he wrote that jews did everything they could to discredit germans who would try to make the country a better place. the work conditions in germany were horrific before hitler came into power. he saw that most of those factories were owned by jewish and were not doing right by his fellow country men. he puts emphasis on how the germans were living in a system where they were owned by jewish people because they owned the banks and charged huge interest rates so the german people never could rid themselves of debt because of all the high interest rates. he said that the german people were paid on friday and broke before monday because the jewish who owned everything had infilterated their government charged these out ragous taxes and were working for slave wages. so if you look at his perspective he claimed jews owned everything, paid germans not enough money to live on and had no hope of ever doing anything for themselves because the jews were the ones with all the power. he beleived that he needed to rid germany of "parasites" (jews) because they were the cause of german people living in misery. hense he started his political career. when he started comming into power at first he told all the jews to leave. he did not start killing them at first because he did not have the political backbone to do so at first. germany was in the run for the first nuclear bomb and he said that jews were in the military and when they started to run away they stole military secrets and sold them to the americans as well as the british. this is one of the things according to him that pushed him to start killing them. he went on to try to rid all of europe of ALL jews.
