Ok here's the deal. I just found out I'm pregnant. I'm probably about 4 weeks. I haven't been to the doctor yet, of course I'll ask him when I go.
I've been trying to concieve so I've been taking prenatal vitamins.
I've noticed within the last week that my Urine is BRIGHT Yellow (Lemon Yellow). Before I got pregnant it would be a dark yellow if I got dehydrated...I am having to drink LOADS of water each day to keep it clear. Now I have to pee constantly.
This didn't happen during my last pregnancy (which ended in a miscarriage)
Is this normal? Is it hormone related? Just wondering how many other people experienced this...
I'm fairly certian it's b/c my body's working harder but I still want to know...

My initial thought was that you were prolly taking vitamins which natually cause bright colors in urine, but the higher levels of endorphins in your system can cause similar responses.
Don't worry about it. Just wait until it starts smelling funny.

I read somewhere that the color of your early pregnancy urine tells the sex of the baby...check out the site below, just for fun.
I know that my urine was very yellow for the first 8 weeks of pregnancy and I had been on prenatals for like 6months before getting preggos. I think it might be what your body is using out of them. Since vitamin b is what makes urine bright yellow, it might just be your body is or isn't using that much of it right now.After my first trimester my urine became very clear and dark once and a while like yours when I dehydrated.

This is usually related to the B vitamin in the prenatal vitamin. Sometimes its a sign of dehydration but you arleady said that you drink plenty, so its probably the vitamin and nothing to be concerned with. They'll take a urine sample at your appointment and they'll let you know if its anything to be concerned with. You should also note the change to your doctor, since its not normal for you. Im sure all is well and congrats on your pregnancy.

My urine is always bright yellow...I take vitamins every day, and that's what my doctor told me. I'm not currently pregnant, but both times I was, my urine was bright yellow then too.

The bright yellow coloring is due to the extra vitamins in your system. Absolutely NOTHING to worry about! Of course you are right, you should ask him when you go, but I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Congratulations on the baby! and Good luck to you guys!

I have went through that too, during both of mine. It started as soon as I started the prenatal vitamins. But if you are really concerned talk to your doctor when you go and see them. Make sure that you keep the water in you because most women who are pregnant get dehydrated during the summer months and it can cause problems.

It can also be because of the prenatal vitamins. They do tend to change the color of the urine. I notice it the first one or two times I pee after I have taken it. As the day goes on it becomes more and more colorless.
