Try getting an airbrush tan. There should be no side effects from it that I know of.

Tanning beds aren't 'safe'. You could but you'd permature age pretty badly if you keep doing it. It's cumulative damage that makes you look a lot older before your time.

The easiest, fastest, and safest way to get a tan would definitely be an airbrush one; Mystic Tan.

Neutrogena micromist tanning. It dries faster than lotions and does not streak. I'm the whitest white person you have ever seen and this looks natural on me. It's airbrush that works upside down even. The only drawback is that the aerosol will nearly kill you. It's also kind of expensive, but not as expensive as surgery to remove sunspots or extensive surgery to remove melanoma.
ps. Do not hold it too close to your skin and definitely exfoliate first. Makes a difference.

There is no safe tan when acquired through exposure to ultrasiolet light. Doesn't make a difference if from a tanning light or the sun. Chemical tans look fake. good like

spray on tanning. By machine is quicker and less expensive. But to have a professionally hand applies airbrush it the best. They can accentuate the good and hide the bad...The best of all is not putting yourself at further risk for skin cancer. Just be careful not breath in the fumes. They aren't good for you either

Not sure how safe it is....Lay on a float in a swimming pool around noon for a couple of hours. Don't forget to flip sides. It works quick and you have a sexy glow in just one day. At least thats what we get here in Texas....
