I sold makeup for 2 years and so I learned alot alot alot about it. I definitely think that some more expensive brands are nicer. It's trying all kinds and finding what works best for your skin and color. Try them all!!! Beware that some expensive name brands put their makeup in pretty fancy packaging just to sell it for alot of money to rich people...it's true.

I personally love Walmart!!! But if I could splurge I'd try anything!!!

:)

Avoid the big Brand names, such as the fancy French ones. Research has been done on the various brands of skin care products, and results show that the "Ponds" and "Nivea" level products are equal in effectiveness to the big name brands. Idea: put all the extra money toward good health. This will make you not only look beautiful, but feel beautiful, too!

Not at all! I have worn Chanel, MAC, and other high end brands as well as Rimmel, Loreal, and Neutrogena I have bought in Target. Also remember that many mainline companies put the same product in a cheaper mass reach line. Like Lancome and Loreal (same thing, different label) as well as Estee Lauder and Clinique. Find what looks best on you and works with your skin--that is what makes you look like a million. Spend your money on skin care and then you can use inexpensive makeup!

No, not always. A lot of times new formulations or trendy colors will be offered first in the luxury brands, but since many luxury brands and drugstore brands are owned by the same companies, they'll eventually filter down. L'Oreal owns Lancome and Maybelline, and Estee Lauder owns American Beauty.

Nope. The drugstore brands are made by big companies that can afford to do more research and spend more money on developing new products. The dept store expensive stuff just has fancier packaging and perfumes in it. Save your money and get better stuff at the drugstore.

hell no lol
some more expensive brands are higher quality but sometimes you are paying for 'the label'. I have bought cheaper stuff and it has worked just as well. If you have sensetive skin though, it may be better to get a special type as it could cause you allergies or irritations.

This is strictly my opinion, but generally "Yes". However, I'm not talking about stuff you buy at the mall at the Este Lauder counter. I'm talking about Loreal vs. Jane or that NY crap they sell at Walmart. If it's $3.00 mascara, you're gonna get flakes and sticky results. $7.00 mascara from CoverGirl of Maybeline, Almay, Loreal, or even sometimes Rimel and you'll be pleased. I've bought expensive mall makeup from designer counters and couldn't tell any difference except in my wallet.

The only thing better that I have found is how long they stay on, and the expensive ones are normally better for your skin.

not necessarily, b/c alot of people cant afford expensive make-up or cant wear that everyday so the RIGHT brands at beauty supply stores work just as good

Yup, cheaper brands mean cheaper quality. The ingredients aren't as good and could be bad for your skin.
